Did you know that San Juan Island almost did not belong to America? It’s true! Stranger yet, it was actually Kaiser Wilhelm I of Germany who decided that the island should fall entirely under American control. Read more about it at Historic UK.

Whidbey Island Waldorf School – a group we have been sailing with for years. Several nights spent camping at different islands and several days spent sailing between them… So many warm memories – what a great organization!

We sailed with the Environmental and Adventure School all last week and it was wonderful to once again introduce so many youngsters to the joy of sailing!
